Dear Friends:
I write this as I marvel at the amazing hand of God and your wonderful hearts. How privileged I am to have received your support.
Many thanks are due. We lifted this campaign in prayer from the beginning, with a platform to stand on the God-given Constitutional principles our founding fathers established in this Commonwealth for our nation. Because of the strength of His might and the goodness of His people, this campaign was able to overcome great obstacles. With a commitment to the grassroots efforts of the people, we pledged not to accept contributions from attorneys, special interest groups or pacs. Because of your efforts, we have successfully run a campaign with only the use of a web site, flyers, phone calls, traveling across the state to meet all of you and a very limited budget. There are times God directs us to follow Him when it appears the road is impossible to navigate. But He tells us, "... not by power, not by might, but by My Spirit." Zechariah 4:6. So, it is only appropriate that I first give praise and honor to Him. Truly, it is ultimately by His hand that such a victory was achieved.
But the Lord works through the hearts and hands of people as He did through all of you, and I express my deepest thanks for your devotion of time, support and prayers. The success of this campaign is a testament to God's hand and your impassioned hearts. It is after all, "...a government of the people, by the people and for the people," and you have demonstrated the power of the people with faith in God.
I thank you and hope that we will continue to work together in a spirit of unity to keep our nation strong as we uphold the law of the land. In the words of our founding fathers:
